whats the diff between a bach of commerce and bach of business which one is better?

bachelor of commerce sounds more classy, and has a wider range of specialisation.
therefore, it's better.

the b. business is offered at UTS and is similar to the commerce at sydney e.g. same/similar major subjects - was my second preference behind sydney - not sure what the difference is though

There is no major difference between the two degrees and most offer the same majors anyway. Some uni's just prefer to call their degrees Bachelor of Commerce, rather than Business. I'm doing the Bachelor of Economics...and even that is extremely similar to the Bachelor of Commerce, with the only exceptions being the compulsary first-year units and the fact that you must major in either Economics or Econometrics.

If you are looking at going to Sydney Uni, however, there is no Bachelor of Business.

A friend doing B.Bus at UTS says it's exactly as same as a Commerce Degree

I'm pretty sure you can.

I know it's possible to go from UTS Business to UNSW Commerce for example.

I think the terms are interchangable and the degrees are exactly the same. Commerce = Business.
