Yeah, well accounting has its advantages... job security, alright pay, but most importantly it teaches you to understand a business as a series of cash-flows, which is also an important management skill.
I started out in just B.Comm-Accg, but I found myself getting bored with the work and I wasn't really being challenged. So I added on the finance degree, and I can tell you it's much more mentally stimulating.
Maybe start out with B.Comm-Accg, and if you get bored with it like I did, consider adding on another degree; perhaps Com-Accg/Law or App.Fin/Comm-Accg.
