yep maths is an elective for ebusiness... but its a prerequisite for one of the core 200 level comp units. that's the only reason im doing it!

Really? It's improved a whole lot this year actually. Maybe its cos Club Mac's more interdisciplinary and more flexible for the the many internal transfers each semester. So the pre-reqs and stuff are a bit all over the place.

On the other hand, UTS have more standardly structured degrees with clear progression mapped. Students tend to follow the recommended structure more at UTS (and UNSW and USYD for that matter) than at MQ. While Club Mac has a reccomended structure as such, it's not really a bible in terms of the best way to finish your degree...and people often do their degrees differently.

Ofcourse this doesn't apply as much to actuarial, accounting and the like...but generally it's true.

GTG, the prereqs aren't as "easy" as they have been for a number of units now. Although, I do agree that Macq is very flexible.

As a side note: It is pretty much true that most won't follow their recommended program. I didn't believe it at the time, but I do so now.
