Bachelor of International Business

The BIntB requires three years of full-time study (longer for part-time students). Areas of study available in the Division of Economic and Financial Studies for this degree are Business, Demography, Economics and Marketing. Other areas of study include Anthropology and Sociology in the Division of Society, Culture, Media and Philosophy, Politics in the Division of Humanities and Geography in the Division of Environmental and Life Sciences.
Programs of Study in International Business

The BIntB program consists of a core component of compulsory units together with a range of elective modules, from which students must choose two. Each elective module usually requires students to complete four designated units, consisting of two 200-level and two 300-level units.

The program can be undertaken full-time or part-time. The first year of a full-time program requires the completion of eight compulsory units. The second year consists of two compulsory units (worth 6 credit points), together with at least 15 credit points, comprising a minimum of 6 credit points each in two of the elective modules. The third year has three compulsory units (worth 9 credit points) and elective units totalling at least 15 credit points in the electives already chosen at 200-level. Obviously, a part-time student will proceed at a slower pace and would normally expect to complete the degree in four to six years. Click here for detailed information about the units and options available in this program.

Students transferring into the BIntB from other degree programs may be allowed. The minimum transfer requirements are completion of 12 credit points at an overall grade point average of 2.25 or above. This generally means achieving a minimum two passes and two credits in four units, but may vary where the units studied are worth other than 3 credit points.
Honours Program in International Business

Students with excellent academic records in the BIntB program are encouraged to enrol for an honours year in the fourth year. The program will require both coursework and considerable project work.
