What are the pros and cons of both, and will I have a better chance of getting into research or medicine with one as opposed to the other?

According to the Unis, it doesn't matter *what* degree you do, you won't have a better chance of getting into Medicine - it only depends on your GPA.

Except that doing a science degree would probably help for GAMSAT, since it covers first year level for Bio/Chem (+year 12 physics).

(Can't help with other concerns though :p).
