Can someone please give a guide of course ( example LAW115, ECON111, ACCG106 and ACST101) like in terms of course outline, assignments, notes or exams. Anything that you wished you knew before starting the first year.

Appreciate

ACST101

3 class tests, online quiz and final exam, consist 30% element and 70% technique.
Elements are just random finance facts that you need to know, techniques are applying the formulas.
Very easy subject if you good at maths.

Notes: lecture notes are sufficient, you can get full mark without using the recommended text book.

Final exam, consist MC and long question.
MC are for elements and some techniques, long questions for techniques. (like some loan repayment question)

ACCG106
many many contents to learn. Ethics, conduct, basic accounting stuff (like balance sheet....), ratios, budget...
Not very difficult but just heavy. X)

You need to write an essay about ethic for assignment, some random accounting quiz and a final exam.

Lecture notes are sufficient for this subject. (Read the recommended text book, not really useful.)

ECON111:
assignments/mid sem/quizes base on your lecture... so can't really tell what you expect to have before final.

Content: quite similar to yr11 economics at the start, just more mathematics involve, no calculus don't worry X).

Lecture notes again is sufficient. (Read the textbook, not really useful again X{ )

I don't do law:p

Thanks very much for intelligient and detail response, i can't say how valuable this is. However, I have more request is that do you have any notes, assignments etc that you could upload/PM so that we can gain a better understanding.

Thank You

For ACST101
you can access all the resources from ilearn such as past years class test, lecture notes.

This subject is the easiest I ever had, I just purely use my lecture notes (they will ask for the content like fill in the blanks or mc from the notes almost the same wording.)

So you don't really need any extra resources.

ACCG106

The essay question will be different, unless you really desperate to know the essay question i had (also marking guide), then pm me.

Don't read my essay, my English sucks :D
They don't really mark it harsh, actually depend on the tutor [some mark it nice, some mark it really harsh X( ]

ECON111
I have my year assignment (they don't have mid-sem test my year).

My personal notes are almost exactly same as the lecture notes. (summarized with no extra stuff, some of the content are really trivial that I just ignore it.)

My opinion:
I got HDs in these three subjects just using the lecture notes.
ACCG106, ACST101 can be done by purely rote learn.
For me, ACST101 is really trivial because you did alot of this stuff in high school. (such as 2unit maths superannuation and you don't HAVE TO DERIVE just use the formula given) Least effort put in, got highest mark in all my courses Z.Z.

ECON111 is good to understand the graphs to achieve better grade.
