Hey,

I was wondering about the actual structure of this degree. I know some information is given here (http://sydney.edu.au/arts/future_students/courses/undergraduate/economics.shtml). However I have a couple of questions:

1. Do you choose a major out of Economics, econometrics or financial economics? If so, how many units of this major would you do?

2. What are the minors? How many units of these would you do?

3. Do students at USYD need to complete 2 units of a history subject?

Thanks!

1. You can pick one of the economics major or two or choose the last one from another faculty.
You go to the handbook and look at whats the requirement to satisfy your major; for economics that is 4 compulsory junior unit, 2 compulsory senior unit and 4 senior elective units.

2. Minor is completing a small portion of a major you wish to explore. Usually about half the major. It will go on your transcript not testamur.
For the record Usyd does not offer minors.

3. Only Unis that need you to do additional units outside your faculty is Macquarie and UNSW.

Your questions are really basic, as a university student you need to do these research on your own.
