For a bachelor degree, i don't think there are much differences between the two. They are all the same, a science degree is a science degree regardless of whether you did it in USyd or UNSW. What's more important is what SUBJECTS you pick within your degree to suit your specialisation. No one here can tell you which uni should you do your science degree at because it is a decision that you have to make. Consider what field of science you prefer and the subjects that are offered by the university, to help you decide whether UNSW or USyd would be more benefical to you.

And also, to compare UAI between courses, you can't just look at the cut offs. Cut offs are determined by the quota of each degree. For example, USyd may have accepted 250 applicants, while UNSW accepted 300 in the same course. Hence the cut offs, determined by the last person entering the course (with the lowest UAI), is published for that particular course for that particular year. Obviously the course with the smaller quota would acquire a higher cut off, than a course with large amount of applicants accepted.

All i know is that you need 85 for syd, and 80 for NSW. I know i applied for those courses (6 and 7 choices). I doubt there would be much difference.

I agree with survivor, the uni you study science at is far less important than your major and which subjects you take. Do you know which area you're interested in?

I'm interested in pharmacology. I've decided to choose this course to study for a transfer to Pharmacy if I don't get enough UAI. Medical Science has a higher UAI than Science.
Anyone knows the approx. salary per year? Not to study this course but for employment.

I saw a report on ACA a few weeks ago where some guy who owns a rural pharmacy was looking for a pharmacist to work full time, and he couldn't find anyone. He was offering $110k a year, iirc.

Of course not.

But that amount of money is ridiculously high, only reason there are no takers is that nobody likes the country. :(
