Bad idea for English Portfolio? (1 Viewer)

I am considering doing a novel for one of my texts for this portfolio, the novel is Spirit Bound by Richelle Mead. This book has a heavy amount of magic used within it and also of the Power (topic is power and the individual) is used through magic.
Would it be a bad idea to do a text that is revolved around this or wouldn't it matter?

Doesn't matter as long as your other related texts aren't of the same genre.

I think I had to do the same AOS as you "Power, Authority and the Individual", if not very similar.

It won't matter, the quality of your analysis is the important part.
