I know this may sound like a stupid question but where exactly does the BoP fit into the syllabus??

I do to an extent... just like all economics topics.... I just can't get any of the concepts to stick in my head...

Yeah, BOP is getting me down a little two. Apart from that, I am pretty much okay with the other subject topics. Exchange rates is the best, but the BoP issues annoy me.
