Band 6 in Bio (1 Viewer)

Around what raw mark would you be looking at for a minimum of 90 as a scaled mark? I realise that it changes and that raw marks are not revealed, i just want an idea

The percentage in band 6 went up dramatically from 2002-03 so I assume the raw neede would have dropped (unless the candidature improved to the extent that it went from about 2% to 8% in band 6- unlikely) So who knows what it will be next year...

bio is not scaled well... but like, i did very very crab in my bio and still managed 93... =( so i dunno... i expected to get around mid 80's for bio in raw mark...

its shit.. i got 87 which was my 3rd highest mark, but only 1u of it got counted

maybe someone who did bio last year could write in to the BOS and find out what their raw marks were that way ppl can know how well they have to do in the exam to get a band 6.. sort of like what laz did under the 'freedom of information act' thingy...

All i can tell you from my point of view is that to get 90 SCALED MARK, you need at least 95+ aligned mark in the HSC, which also means you pretty much need a RAW mark of 95 anyway.

i always get 92 in bio exams, amnd in the hsc i got 92. So which pretty much tells you that raw and aligned marks are very similar. then again, 92 aligned mark gets scaled down to somewhere in the 84-85. So it's pretty sad.

huh?? i thought if u got raw of band 6, they can't scale u down, regardless of which subject you are in??

any way, i am pretty sure i got a lot shitter... like <90, but i got 93 for external examination... ??
