so what is the difference between a bachelor of business administration as opposed to a bachelor of commerce/economics?

i know that the bba is a much broader course but is that the only difference?

From memory, I dont think u get to major in anything with a BBA...i think its just a general business degree...but again not sure
mayb check the course outlines at the Macq site

BBA is for management type positions right?...i dunno, but the graduate MBA is really famous (masters of biz admin).
