Hey there :wave:

Just wondering, before the Ancient History's syllubs was changed,
what did students have to do instead of the core study of
Pompeii and Herculaneum?

There was no core -at least i dont think so-

People had to do two essays instead of P&H

You now do:

1. Core study,
2. Society,
3. Personality,
4. Period.

Pre-2005, we did:

1. Society,
2. Period,
3. Personality,
4. Extra period or society.

You had to do more than one civilisation - ie two or more of Ancient Near East, Egypt, Greece, Rome, etc. Now you just do the core study. The Rome society question was removed in light of the core study (which acts as an extra society).
