best economic newspaper? (2 Viewers)

im studying economics and I think i need to be uptodate with economic issues happening. Im just stuck at the best newspaper to read for good economical analysis and updates. Ive seen the age and the australian which look good. Please, your feedback is appreciated.

Fin Review on Saturdays is shit.
It's all just political commentary.
Most of the time they're talking about stuff that we don't even understand, or concepts which we don't need to know.
For the plain facts and a very basic analysis or quotes from politicians/economists, read Fin Review on the weekdays.
But Sydney Herald on Saturday is good.
Ross Gittons ftw.
Sunday is an economics-free day.

The Australian is good for economics. Always in-depth analysis of RBA statements, so if anything buy a copy the day after the RBA meeting...

Go to Google News, search for what you want, and there are so many varieties so you can pick the ones you understand/like the most.

I agree.
But i also get copies of articles from the Commonwealth Bank. A friend works there and gives me copies of articles and such every week.

In terms of the daily broadsheets I prefer the Australian. The fin review is probably not necessary. Not only is it more expensive than the others, but they dont provide their articles online (so you can get most of the business pages for free for the broadsheets). Furthermore the fin review is more business oriented and although there is also economic articles in there, there are most likely no more than the broadsheets in any case.
I think if you scour news.com.au and smh.com.au on a daily basis you should be more than adequetely prepared.

Another consideration is to look at political programs like insiders and the 7:30 report because they cover a lot of the policy details that is relevant in the HSC course (and you dont need to read anything you can just sit watch and relax).

Yes, the fin review is a comprehensive source, I am not saying otherwise; I am just saying that for the purpose of HSC economics I wouldn't recommend for anyone to go to the trouble of buying it given that the broadsheets contain everything an HSC student would need (and are free online).
