After Hours
seeing that music and film go hand in hand, what do you guys consider the best music ever used in a film?
personally, i thought the following were excellent:
"These Days" and "Fairest of the Seasons" (Nico) and "Judy is a Punk" (Ramones) in the Royal Tenenbaums
"High School Lover" (Air) in The Virgin Suicides
"Tiny Dancer" (Elton John) in Almost Famous
"Music for the Funeral of Queen Mary" and "Ninth Symphony" (Beethoven) in A Clockwork Orange
"The Chrystal Ship" (The Doors) in the Banger Sisters
"Set you Free" (The Black Keys) in School of Rock
"Hey Joe" (Hendrix) and "Mr. Big Stuff" (Jean Knight) used in Crooklyn
"Girl, You'll Be a Woman Soon" (Urge Overkill) in Pulp Fiction and
"Perfect Day" (Lou Reed) used in Trainspotting
i can't think of any more right now, i'll post them when they come to me.
P.S: it is rather disconcerting to see how little white stripes music is actually used in film...
