I'd post in the "Buy/Sell...." but all I ever see in there is HSC tutoring.

I'm looking for some help in 1131, like once or twice a week (if possible) from 3rd/4th year or maybe 2nd.

I saw this: http://www.maths.unsw.edu.au/ForStudents/studentarea/sss/index.php

but I'm not sure if that's fit for me to ask to explain lots and lots of questions? I'll be dropping in just to check it out and see if anyone there is offering further tutoring.

Just thought I'd ask around here incase I've missed like a prime location to find maths tutors :)

If anyone is interested, most my free time is on a friday (all day) or in the arvos like 1-2pm+, except wednesdays which is 430ish, it'd be good to have the tutoring at the uni just to avoid any location/transport problems.

thanks

SSS apparently is a good place - I've never used it myself though.

Your classmates and tutor would be the first place.

definitely classmates, tutor, lecturer or friends doing the higher level courses are the best to go to.

if you really need help though, I'm around on friday arvos, from 2-5pm, usually doing study in the colonnade, so if u really need someone, pm me.

The SSS is good (shameless plug from an SSS tutor :) ) - more seriously, if you're having difficulties with specific questions, then come into the SSS and ask, by all means. We'll try to help (subject to time constraints from other students - my advice is to get in early on the week after a test, because nobody turns up then :p).

If you're having difficulties with a concept though, then your first port of call should be your tutor/lecturer during their consultation hour - they're all willing to help as best they can. If you sortof get it but want to bounce an idea off someone first, try a classmate, and if all else fails, come to the SSS.

The SSS is open 10-12 and 1-3, Monday to Thursday, and is located in the Department of Aviation (so many people get confused by that!)

More than half ;)

Thanks for info.

kaseita: I'll check out all the other options before bothering you, if it turns out I'm just too bad or need more help ontop of whatever help I get, then I'll be looking for a personal tutor if you're interested.
