Explain the need to maintain biodiversity and identify two current efforts to monitor biodiversity.

I know the first part, just the current efforts?
Is it to do with land clearing restrictions/protected species/bag limits on fish and stuff or am i completely wrong lol.

haha, tough one

well they said 'monitor' biodiversity and not 'maintain'.. so wouldn't it not be straight out restrictions but just ways to assess the biodiversity? LOL am i lost?


for one i would guess predicting the effect certain introduced species will have/have had on an ecosystem

I'd personally just consider monitor the same as maintain, or "ensure" biodiversity.

Is this a past HSC question?
