FYI: There are a couple of articles on biotechnology and development/application of biopolymers etc as a renewable resource in The Economist magazine for this week. It's not going to answer the exam for you, but it may be an interesting skim read. And for you advanced english-ers, there are a couple of references to dystopian vision and blade runner thrown in for good measure
