in my head...
Hey Everybody,

Does anybody have a clue about Bladerunner and Brave New World. My trail mark was really dodgy and i dont know how to go about fixing it...
we need to talk about context, techniques, "in the wild" but what else and how in gods name do you link all these random parts together????

Thanks for your help

Both texts have a similar opening....

BR opens with a bleak and futuristic world.
BNW also opens with a futuristic world.

In both texts, it is obvious that the people are disconnected with the natural rhythms of the world.

In BR, Tyrell is kinda viewed apon as the god.
In BNW, the world state is the god.

In BR, Deckard uses alcohol to escape reality
In BRW, Soma is distributed to escape reality.

In BR, context is used through photochemical smog, and animal extinction.
In BNW, context refers to totalatarianism and war stuff

The endings are CONTRAST!!!

In BR, scott has used an ambiguous ending to infer that Deckard and Rachael escape (and live happily ever after). There is hope for this world.
In BNW, Huxley has used John's death to communicate the message that there is no hope for this world. Ultimately, he is turned into a machine (compass) as he dangles... (North, North-East, East, etc.)

There u go... just a few things that came off the top of my head.

Cheers
