Bookmarks GONE!! (1 Viewer)

Oh nohs...
Something weird happened that deleted everything my bookmarks :O
Now it's all empty :'(
Can it be retreived?
I have Norton UnErase btw.. but not sure what to UnErase :S
I am using Firefox... I guess i can re-import the Favourites from IE but that'll be the old stuff.
Any suggestion before I do that?

that FF bug have been fixed in 1.1alpha2 finally. well kinda fixed...
atleast no more bookmark losing.

Happened to a friend before, he figured out how to fix it. I'll try and find out for u.

Hmm im thinking your FF user profile got confused.....

Try seeing if the bookmarks are still in

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\

Ok.. i looked in there and i only found the following:
[Profiles]
profiles.ini
pluginreg.dat

And if i open Profiles.. going deeper I found "bookmarks.html" which is a blank page.

Aww.. well I guess I have to re-import IE's Favourites.

Another change I've noticed was the bookmarks toolbar were not shown and I assume that the toolbar should still show up even when theres nothing to show.. (i.e. a blank bar)

Oh yeah and the post order is going to mess up tonight due to the server change.....Everything is being copied across to a shiny new server...

firefox is shit. use maxthon. nothing will go wrong with this browser.

What you have described is standard Mozilla Foundation procedure. As part of their taking back of the Internet, your bookmarks will periodically be beamed back to home base.

To resolve the situation, email the foundation and explain that, while you are happy to help them in their mission to take the internet back, you would greatly appreciate being given your cut.
