bowling for columbine sounds fine.

Also watch Media Watch when it comes back on next year. David Marr does a really good job of chasing after people who lie in the media.

Read overseas newspapers online, like www.guardian.co.uk and www.independent.co.uk. I found some stuff there as well. In general, trawl through the net.

Movies like broadcast news are also good.

Over the year, collect heaps of stuff, so you can choose what you want and don't want to do

Bowling for Columbine is good because you can look at both the propaganda and lies behind Michael Moore's argument and examples and the propaganda and lies of the Gun lobby.

Also: http://www.abc.net.au/mediawatch - All the articles from past years should be there. There's one comparing how a Sydney throw-away newspaper edited out a councilor from a photo and how the Chinese Communist Party and Chairman Mao did the same thing...

BRILLIANT BRILLIANT BRILLIANT text. Michael Moore is a genius.

Had I seen it earlier I would have used it. I even suggested to my eng ext teacher that it should be put on the Year 12 prescribed texts list in the future.

If you use it well, it will do wonders for you. Good luck.

I reckon it's a really good text. Also his books Stupid White Men and I assume the new one (I think it's called Dude Where's my Country I haven't read it yet) would be good related texts.

I'm currently reading a book called The New Rulers of the World which would also be very good for truth. It's very political and is written by a journalist who I forget the name of lol. Also for truth I used the film Evil Angels (which is the Lindy Chamberlain story) which was a really good text to use. It was good to analyse and worked well with Frontline.
