Just wondering if anyone could tell me what these subjects are like?

i.e. their experiences, and the difficulty/ease of the subject etc.

From my memory. Business Stats has a LOT of statistical formulas. But they all build up on top of each other so as long as you understand the concept and remember the main formulas it should be fine.
I think the final semester exam for the subject is open book, which is helpful in that you don't need to remememer the formulas exactly, but can be your downfall if you only rely on the textbook and notes, because flickering through all the pages to find a formula takes a lot of your time.

I thought the finance subject was very math oriented, and all the formulas and concepts build up as well. They recommend you purchase a financial calculator but it's a subject on it's own to learn how to use it, and it's expensive, and some (including myself) did with out it.
As i recall the end exam was also openbook, however you could only bring ONE A4 size paper , which would only be enough if you write in size 4 font .
