Hey guys! What's the by-product when forming kevlar? Some of the sites I've been on say HCl and others say water...

It's quite the interesting one. If there was Cl on one of the monomers reacting with another monomer that has the amine group, then HCl is formed. If there is an OH group, then water is formed. There are a few different pictures showing different things but I want to know, how did you come across this compound?
