Insufficient information given.

Need - gap between first and second and the top exam mark to have a good go at it.

If the gap is 10 marks it will be different to if the gap s 1 mark.

If the top external mark is 75 then that 85 will crash to below 75 but if it is 99 and you are one mark behind then it will rise considerably but if you are 10 marks behind then you will only rise a couple of marks.

There is a huge gap between me (2ND) and first of 10%. However the person is a highly talented person. I am 100 % the first person will get 98+ aligned.

Hope this helps in the estimation prediction

If the gap is 10% and first gets 98 then you would be moderated to about 89 or 90 - the relative gaps have to be kept along with the ranks but as the aligned marks are generally compressed to a range of 50-100 a gap of 10% would be reduced a little bit.

Schools report marks across a 0 - 100 range but aligning these exam marks and thus the assessment marks to the bands effectively puts 98%+ of the state in each subject into the 50 - 100 range - which is why I think that a raw school assessment mark 10% behind first would be moderated to a mark with either an 8 or 9% difference.
