can i do this.... i put psychology before arts..... and now i've changed my mind and i want to do arts instead .... am i able to do this

accept my psychology offer (btw what does accepting an offer do?? do u go on the net to say u've accepted or something?) ... wait for the late rounds and see if i get accepted to any of those? withdraw from psychology and then accept the late round offer?

My advice: Just enrol in psych, and don't do any psych units. Just pick your Arts units... and then after one semester transfer. Because late rounds might be harder to get into Arts. Btw, Macq has a very lenient transfer system.

If you aren't in first year, and doing a single degree, among other details, you can enrol online.

Btw, please don't double post.

Umm not sure. I'm sure you can get away with not having the psych subjects in your timetable.

But you might as well. There's only three core units for psych in first year (2 psych, 1 stats). You might find out you love it. I found 3/4 of first year psych to be AWESOME, the other 1/4 was a bit meh, but bearable...this is a lot better rating than I'd give most other subjects!

I have a friend who didn't start Actuarial Studies until three years after starting Macq. And she was enrolled in Actuarial Studies and I think App Fin. So it shouldn't be a worry, if you don't have psych in your timetable.

Yeah, technically you can get away with it. In the same way you can get into early childhood if u missed the cutoff for arts and just do arts subjects.

But first year Psych is awesome, and u have plenty of other arts electives, so I'd say you should give it a try.

1. do we have to pick all of the subjects we're doing for the whole course? or just for the first year or first semester?

2. For the arts in psychology degree.. we can basically do all the units we want in the arts degree right?

1. yes, all the subjects, first and second semester. when you pick up your package this week, they give you a page which you have to bring to enrolment. on this page you have to fill in the timetable you want for 1st and 2nd semesters.

2. yeah. you mean you want to transfer from arts to psych? you can look at what the first year psych units are, and then transfer if possible after the first year. so yes, you can do that.

the only thing to be weary of is places. in something i was reading it said there may not be enough places for everyone in courses like that. for e.g. imagine if ALL people doing arts also wanted to transfer to psych, and do the same 1st year units. it wouldn't work, there would be too many.

but i think you will be fine.

Additions:

1. Yes, only for first year. Note that early second semester, you can change the timetable and units, if you want.

2. You can do whatever you want from Arts so long as there are no restrictions such as Law units would have.
