Hi. I'm a 2005 HSC student. I received 96.35 UAI with these results:
97 3u maths
92 4u maths
82 Software
78 Chemistry
90 2u Adv English
I've been at the ANU for 2 years. My academic transcript, ignoring clerical withdrawn grades is:
Sem 1:
P honours maths 1
D programming 1
F 2nd year discrete maths subject
Sem 2:
P plant biology
F microbiology
F honours maths 2
D programming 2
Sem 3:
F assembly language (2nd yr)
F repeat of sem 1 discrete maths course
Sem 4:
Probably going to get a fail for this 2nd year statistics course.
Regardless of the outcome for this year, I will be taking one or two years off to earn money, do some study I should have done at uni, learn more chemistry, travel and generally get my shit together.
If after 1 or two years I wish to return to university (not ANU) and do a BSc (Chemistry) or similar, how would I go about it? Should I wait till I am 21 for mature age entry? Should put together a case as to why I should be admitted? Or will my uni results not be counted for calculation of whether or not I can attend uni?
Because even with a UAI of 96.35, I doubt many unis would be willing to accept somebody with my failure rate. Hell if it were half UAI/half uni marks, would I even get a UAI of 60?
