Have you tried turning off the computer, waiting 60 seconds, and then powering back up?

Also, try going to My Computer, right click on the drive, and click eject.

It may be stuck because it has been locked by a program which is either still running or was terminated unexpectantly. As Mednez says, reboot your PC and hopefully all will be fine.

Failing that, you can open the tray manually from the front. Find a sewing pin, and push it though the tiny hole beneath the tray. The pin will push on the opening mechanism inside the drive and the tray should pop out.

Another 'non-physical' way is to open My computer, right-click on your dvd drive, and select 'Eject'.

If nothing happens, this will give you some feedback that it would be a software accessing it and refusing to budge, and not a problem with your drives button.
