cd/dvd burner (1 Viewer)

hey i was just wondering if anyone could help my computer wont let me burn cds anymore i let my laptop to a friend and got it back and now it doesnt work media player just says thats theres and error with it and to check the recorders not in use or that its connected properly does anyone know whats wrong with it or what i can do to fix the problem?
id really appreciate the help

Hi,

When does this error occur? At what stage from turning on the computer to taking out a fully burnt disk?

How old is the burner?

What was the computer doing while it was away?

i only got it in about april so its not that old... the error only happens when ive got media player open and i press the burn button then the little box flashes up error i have no idea what my friend did with it i think only using the internet and playing movies but im not sure

I'd try another burning program. Do you have Nero? Media Player itself might be having issues. Using another program could eliminate that from the possible issues.
