I heard that there has been recent changes to youth allowance, can I ask whether u guys know what has exactly changed. p.s. I've searched centrelinks website but cannot seem to find anything.

no, why would they? it's a scholarship - not a loan. only if you were illegally receiving YA or any centrelink benefit would they make you pay it back

Why oh why didn't this come in when I was studying at Byron Bay!?!?

I'd actually be able to finish and not drop out due to dire financial circumstances!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only significant change is that the '19k in 18mths' test has been abolished.

The Rudd government has implied that parents earning over $150k are wealthy enough to cough up ~$10k a year per child in order for them to attend university

The worst affected will be those from large families who want to move away to uni and whose families have high parental income but with low disposable incomes (e.g. asset poor post-divorce)

Hey i dropped out of TAFE in three days because the school wanted me to help teach Hardware.
