hi i am a year 12 student and i want to do early childhood teaching at uni but im afraid i wont get the uai...or wont pass maths

i have recently heard that its possible to get into a lower uai course and then change to the course you would prefer....is this true? and is it hard to change?

thank you for any response.

macquarie is probably the easiest uni to do internal transfers at. you don't have to re-apply through UAC or anything, it's all through the uni.

i am unsure of the cutoff for early childhood studies, but if you could get into arts then a pass/credit average (somewhere between) would probably get you enough merit to transfer.

if you don't get into anything, you can always do non-award, which is like fee paid part time uni for the first year. providing you pass (and you only have to pass), you get direct entry into an arts or sci degree (maybe even ECH i'm not sure). If you can't get into ECH straight from non award then you can go to arts and then to ECH.

It's not as hard as it sounds. I do law and there are people doing law who started out in non award.
