Hey,

We had some research tasks for our classes, chemistry, mathematics and mathematics ext 1. I found out and have proof that one of the students in my class obtained help from someone online who gave him the answers (pictures of the answers to the task).

Is this cheating because I asked one of my teachers and she said that it was just being resourceful and that I should try to do the same thing.

Thanks

Overall yes this thing will happens ALWAYS in a take home task. Most people probably do something like that, where they get help from their tutor or someone they know. Unfortunately you can't really do too much about it, but that's the whole purpose of having trial exams. because that is when people who do that type of thing end up bombing the exam and those who deserve the higher spots will overtake them in those. This is something that will be really really obvious when you get to trials, you will see a lot of people on 80s and 90s before the exam that end up scoring like 60s in the exam, so you shouldn't really worry about it too much overall, just make sure you perform well in the actual exams and you will be fine
