Computer RIDICULOUSLY slow! (1 Viewer)

What's happening with my computer!??..it's like i'm using my 233mhz again!

i've most recently installed azureus and bitcomet...does that have anything to do with the slowness of my computer?..and whenever i have either one (or both) running my computer suddenly reduces speed by 200%.

well if your computer slows when those programs are running, then theres probally a reasonable think there...

Also check for spyware/adware

and do a virus scan.

yeah, but when i used similar programs, my computer was fine.

Azereus (spelling??) uses Java, which'll make it (and everything else) nice and slow, in my experience...

One of the later Azureus' did have a 100% CPU issue, which may or may not have been fixed in the subsequent update; I think its got something to do with NOD32. Either way the latest version is 2.3.0.2, update that first if anything, and check with ctrl alt del if it indeed is eating your CPU, or its some other program.
