How do you do it. My computer has a S-Video port and I have been supplied with a S-Video to analog converter. Is it possible to do so. The yellow cable connects to my S-Video port and the white and red cables connect to the line in port

Is this S-Video in or S-Video out?

S-Video is already analog. What converter are you talking about?

Do you want to record off the VCR on to the computer, or record on to the VCR off the computer?

You will have to be more specific for us to help you.

you'd need a tv tuner card to record stuff off a VCR to Computer, i think. With recording stuff to VCR from computer, it depends on what you wish to record to VCR. There are numerous Copy-Protections involved with movies. But if your recording gameplay or demonstrating somethin in a program then it should be fine.

When having two monitors connected you must have the computer turned off when connecting. Then you need to enable the second monitor. With nvidia cards it usually enabled using nView. ATI cards enable it using the Display tab under Display Settings, Advanced, then you can select which connected monitors you want on or off.

S Video to RCA by the sound of it.
I would guess she has a compound - component/s-video/RCA which converter commonly found in video cards these days. I would say she is connecting the yellow part of the RCA to her video-out. I don't understand how she is connecting the L and R channels though, do sound cards have seperate L and R inputs? I thought it was usually a stereo mini jack that attaches to it (but my sound card sucks soo im probably wrong).

Yes, but depending on hardware it might be quicker and easier to use a dvd recorder.
