ok, jus tell me WHY say UNSW has higher cutoff then UWS??
is it becos they hav better lecturers?
cos of their location?
cos of their reputation of havin reputable students who hav studied their?
cos its reputation? where did this reputation originate from?
cos they recieve more fundin from the govt?
safer place?
is it a mixture of those above??
why?
- yes, generally they have more qualified lecturers (UNSW that is) that come from a variety of backgrounds including the international arena. though this is not to say that they are necessarily
good lecturers, they just have big(ger) names.
- i'm not sure whether they receive more funding, but generally unsw (and usyd and uts and macq U for that matter) spend more funds making sure that the course is really up-to-date and stuff
- and safety is really an issue atm with all uni's, lots of thefts and muggings and other assorted crimes
anyway it's hard to say, whether you should not go to uws just cos it's got a 'bad reputation'. personally, i looked at the course content of each uni for the course i wanted to do, and then made a decision on which one looked more interesting/enjoyable
