ok, i am confused.

first is there a pre enrolment day on the 21/22 jan? what do you do?
then an enrolment day?
and a day when they help you pick your subjects? (sit down and work out prerequisites etc.)

then o-week, the week before uni? and in that week do we go once for a whole day, and during the afternoons for every other day?
then o-day, the day before uni?
what's the difference?

pre enrolment day? ....is that the thing u received from department of linguistics?

...sit down and work out prereqs? you do that on enrolment day..you are given a form andf you take it to a room, sit down for 5min, get it signed and move on to get enrolled into your units.

there's orientation day where u go for 1 day and get hooked up with some mentors who take you around uni.

then from memory o week was first week of uni where you only went to lectures and no tutes (unless specified), and there were tents in the main courtyard so you can sign up to clubs.

i think that's was it...*bad memory*
you'll receive letters to tell you what's happening when the events come closer.

well i didn't receive anything about this. i was told by someone else (who is also starting uni this year) that there was a pre enrolment day for everyone. maybe it's for the linguistics students? because from memory, she had just talked to a linguistics lady when she told me that.

oh k. because for some courses you have to have done certain things to progress for example to 3rd year, but they may not have told you to do this in 1st year (since mac is so flexible). i think i'll just do it all at home

no its a thing conducted by lingusitics department. its kinda like an intro to uni day. they send you a letter and ask if u wanna attend, its optional. if you go, you spend the day talking about goal setting and transition to uni... the content was boring, but i made alot of friends that day..so go juz for that ^^

i dunno if they still have it this yr. it was for all economics and financial study students last yr.

linguistics refers to the course teaching about speaking. NOT languages.
