Dialog boxes popping up on my desktop (1 Viewer)

every 10 or so minutes, i ge tthese stupid popups/dailog boxes saying i got like security errors and i need to go to so and so site to download software to correct it, but i believe it is adware/etc so ive installed ad aware to kill some of them, which it has but not all, as the thing still keeps popping up.
It hasnt done this before:

Help! What do i do?

I'd recommend removing Windows Messenger altogether unless you use it.

Go here http://www.dougknox.com/xp/tips/xp_messenger_remove.htm

Just right click the 'download' link and save it to your desktop.. then run it. after you reboot, no more messenger.

so this is from "windows" messenger and not the msn one? or do i have to remove both? I do use them so communicate with friends and family
Thanks fo rth help..i did htink it look alot like those ads [since it has licks to other sites] but didnt know how i got them nor how to get rid of them.

Just remove Windows Messenger - MSN Messenger is fine

You don't have to remove windows messenger, there is a way you can do it by editing a value using the RUN box, but i forget how because its been so long since i had to do it.

Well i strickly remember there was another way of doing it, but this gives a good tutorial:
