Your school isn't running modern history? Aweful.
I know three kids in the year above me who do standard English via distance ed. because our school doesn't offer it, weird hey. Used to be the same with general maths but it has gained popularity and now there will be two classes of it in my year, first ever.
A few kids in my year are going to do textiles via distance ed, and some languages too, so yes it is possible but a lot of hard work. You should see your schools career adviser for advice.
