hey i was wondering if schools got the hsc marks before the students did?

yeh i think the subject teachers get it the same time as the students, but I've heard the principal gets it before...but i may be wrong? :S

When I was in Year 11 during Chemistry class, a teacher walked into the class with a printed booklet to share the 2005 HSC results (which had been released on that day) with my teacher. They were really excited because they had never seen so many band 6s in Chemistry for a long time....lol

Correct. Everyone (students and schools) get results at 0600 on 171208.

There are usually some zealots (Dir of Studies or DP) who go online at 6am to check results. Remember, teachers want good things for their students too.

Teachers get it when they get to school I'm pretty sure, they also get really neat statistics too, comparing their group to the state, previous year groups etc.

BoS website says same time; I call it a lie!
I think they would get it a day or two beforehand.
Though; by school, I mean principal; teachers would be notified by the principal maybe?

The principal gets every students HSC mark for each student at 7am. It is up to them what they do with it (i.e. which teachers get given a copy). Some schools give it to every teacher, some schools only give it to heads of department.
