i mean seiously wat is the point of havin alf yearlies... i just gives us something to worry about... but are they seriously worth all the worry... they're only worth between 15 and 30%... some of which are important... but what if you really suck at examz but you're good at assessments... they should increase assessments or decrease exam weightin... what do u think abolish or keep...

They should keep them. It is good to be assesed on exams because ultimately it'll make you a better exam performer for the big one (the HSC exams).

Schools are required to include at least a certain proportion of assessment-types in an assessment schedule. So unfortunately, I don't think half-yearlies are going to disappear...and as fleepbasding said, they're good practice for the real HSC exam at the end of the year.

it gets u into practising, questions and doing them under exam questions. But at the end of the day, trials and the hsc are the most important. But it is important that you do all assessments well, you might miss out by a few marks from toppping the subject, if u stuff one up.

If you're at a school which is not very competitive then you should be fine. It's where you fuck up a competitive test where you should be worrying...but everyone's human, remember that.

Its the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
I realised that the hard way, unfortunately.
