Do we necessarily need to list the date down specifically for legislations/cases/media? I'm starting to mix up all my dates for different legislations! I know for the major acts you need to know the year, but for acts like the Motor Vehicle Repair Act 1980 (NSW) and the Door-to-Door Sales Act 1967 (NSW)..?

Thanks people!

Im not sure about everyone else but I only use dates when I am sue about it and leave them out If i forget or am unsure. I think that with cases you can get away with guessing but definately not with legislation. Tbh I don think it hurts you response that much if you don't know the dates so I wouldnt stress about it. Still good to include if you remember though

Apparently no extra marks are included for remembering dates, and that the markers hardly expect you to remember all the dates. That was told to me by a senior marker. But essays look so much nicer with all the dates and stuff put in haha :p
