Hi everyone,
I'm Kris, and I'm a recent graduate of James Ruse Agricultural High School. Although I never made it to Ruse originally.
My story: In Year 6, I scored enough to gain a spot at Hurlstone Agricultural High School. I was quite an average student, and felt that I needed an environment that could push me even further. In Year 8, I applied to Baulkham Hills, Normanhurst and Sydney Boys, and gained admission to all 3 schools, and ended up choosing Baulkham Hills. Then in Year 9, I applied again to James Ruse Agricultural High, and gained admission, spending my last 3 years of High School at Ruse.
So why choose me? I've had experience, switching schools twice in my high school career, making new friends along the way, and slowly understand the process and seeing what the top schools in NSW look for in students. They don't look for the brightest students, or the students that study the hardest, and are willing to put the work in, they are looking for students that actually add to the school community. That's where I come in, helping students to find what they can add to teh school community, and present that to the schools that they desire to attend.
So no matter what school you start at in Year 7, whether that be selective or non-selective, gaining entry into a selective high school in Year 8-11 will be assured, with my help and my guidance. I understand each and every student, with my past tutoring experience, and make sure that they maximises their academics and extracurriculars, in order to apply to the school of their dreams. I know the ins and outs of most selective schools, having experience with tests such as the HAST test, and school specific tests, to help prepare YOU and help YOU enter the school that is best fit for you.
