Important Information for Continuing HECS Liable Students in 2005
If you are a HECS Liable student who is currently enrolled at Macquarie University in 2004, and you plan to continue your course of study in 2005, then you will be a Commonwealth supported student for the remainder of your course.
As a Commonwealth supported student, you must complete two tasks before you can re-enrol for 2005:
* read the information booklet: Commonwealth Supported Students 2005 and
* Complete and lodge a Request for Commonwealth Support and HECS-HELP - pre 2005 HECS form
Failure to lodge your form will result in the cancellation of your 2005 enrolment as a Commonwealth supported student.
Lodging your Request for Commonwealth Support form
You have the following options to complete and lodge the Request for Commonwealth Support and HECS-HELP - pre 2005 HECS form
1. From 30 October you will be able to select the eCAF link from the eStudent Menu. This will direct you to an electronic Commonwealth Assistance Form that can be completed and submitted online.
2. Collect the form from the Student Enquiry Service and lodge the form in the box provided
Student Enquiry Services
Level 1, Lincoln Student Services Building
Mon, Tues, Thurs 8:30am - 5:30pm
Wed 9:30am - 5:30pm
Fri 8:30am - 4:30pm
3. In person (for internal students only) at an on-campus session in February 2005. This will require an extra step during your enrolment process. If you wish to minimise your time in queues, it is strongly suggested that you use option 1 or 2.
4. By mail (for external students only) with your enrolment form by 7 January 2005. External students enrolling on-line should choose option 1.
Whichever option you choose, you must lodge your form by the required date. Please note that some time is required to process your application. Thus, there will be a delay between when you lodge your form and when you can enrol. Accordingly, it is strongly encouraged that you lodge your form as soon as possible.
YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ENROL UNTIL YOUR FORM IS RECEIVED AND PROCESSED
