Ive got that model: PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-107D
Doesn't support dual layered burning.
And haven't been able to burn at 8x speed for some reason..
Although I think it's the dvds they were Imation DVD-R 8x I haven't tried burning other dvds that I thought should be able to record at 8x speed
