i don't really know what to write for this dotpoint

explain how a change in gravitational potential energy is related to the work done?

Work is the change in energy of an object.

Now to move an object in a gravitional field changes it gravitional potential energy (assuming its kinetic energy remains constant) therefore it's energy has changed and work has be done.

let's find out.

You could possibly also relate it back to another dotpoint - ie gravitational potential energy is defined as the work done to move a point from a point an infinite distance away (ie unaffected by a body's gravitational field) to a point within that gravitational field.

u can explain it mathematically....thats wat i done

E=mgh (mg=force due to gravity)
E=Fh
from year 11m W=Fs
h=s since they are both distances
W=mgh
therefore there is a relationship between work done and height

hope it helps

-Ep will always be negative
-The biggest Ep will ever be is zero
-To lift an object against a gravitational field, a force must be applied to the object which is equal to or greater than the weight force of the object
-The work done by this applied force is equal to the force applied multiplied by the distance the object is lifted against the field
-The work done by the force is equal to the gravitational potential energy gained by the object (According to the law of conservation of energy)
- If the force is removed, then the stored Ep will be converted into Kinetic energy as the object falls with the g field

do u think that's gonna give you full marks by just writing that out?

if yes , i'll rmb it that way for sure, thanks heaps.

use rather gpe = - Gm1m2/r, not the mgh eqn... altho it also works... technically speakin it is nto entirely correct...
