Can sumone PLEEEEASE give me instructions on how torrents work and how to download themeg what additional software i need, if any. I reeeeeallly wanna dload the final of OC and i cant get it on my usual program but its up already onthis site

yep, it's downloading. what internet connection do you have? it's recommended that you cap your uploads to 80%, since uploads can slow your downloads if you upload too much.

it speeds up gradually. btw, you don't happen to have a firewall, do you?

do you know if it's cable or adsl?

just cap it to 12kb/s to be on the safe side.

at the bottom of your download window, theres a drop down menu.. change that to "slow cable" if i remember correctly. then slide the top slide bar to the left, until it says 12.

i asked my little brother wat conection we have.. he said ADSL 1500K... or sum shit.. does that make sense?

yep. then cap your upload to 20.

if you have a 1500K(BIT) connection, just divide the number by 8 to get your theoretical maximum download speed in kb/s, which is around 190kb/s. uploads are usually 256K(BIT), so that would mean your max is 32kb/s. (just in case you wanted to know)

yep that should be fine. ask your brother if you have a firewall... the round yellow thing is supposed to become green after a while.

if you have norton antivirus on, you shouldn't.

go_swans, if you're bad at computers then I wouldn't recommend bittorrent, you would better better off using some newbcake program like kazaa or limewire.

I personally use dc++ and BT though.
