DSS, MIS, OAS, ES and TPS (1 Viewer)

How much are we supposed to know about Decision Support Systems, Management Information Systems, Office Automation Systems, Expert Systems and Transaction Processing Systems. Is a brief summary enough?

If you are doing TPS and/or DSS, then you will have a lot to learn.

If you are just talking about core topic 2,
Information systems and databases

Then you will only need to know the basics,
definitions, examples of systems in use, pros/cons, etc. Nothing too explicit/specific

Again, 2 out of the 5 you have mentioned are option topics, so you will have to cover the entire one or two (DSS or TPS) chapter if you're choosing the option, naturally.

They're my option topics too - although we didn't get a say in our option topics, our teacher said that TPS and MMC were the only ones we had resources for LOL -- and they're the only ones she has taught, so we did it anyway

I'm the opposite, I prefer TPS over MultiMedia, although some parts of Multimedia are interesting (i like the compression and file formats section, as well as file sizes and formulae for audio/video file sizes/storage)

I would probably like it if I knew it.. we started the topic about 4 days before school finished, and learning the entire topic directly from the textbook is somewhat harder than it seems.

I'd have to say I'm a multimedia fan....TPS I found kind of boring. And besides, the assessment we did for multimedia was cool.

Though the file size conversions are a downside
