I have a dvd reader and burner and i wanna ask if I can make a dvd into a vcd..if so , how?

You shoudl be able to. If you have roxio or nero burning software, there shoudl be a function like that. YOu will just need several cds.

Why make a DVD into a VCD when you can make a copy of the DVD?

I'm not too sure about whether Nero or Roxio can rip the info from .vob files.

use dvdx
it's so simple to use
not *that* much quality loss
1 movie will fit onto 2 700mb cd's (normal movies)

dvdx makes .mpg files, which you use to make the .dat files on vcd (nero)

sry guys, I mean I have a DVD reader and a CDrw...not a dvd burner...maybe this will fix up some things...
