Seeing that the syllabus has been revamped quite a few times, what is the earliest paper that has a respectable amount of questions that are in line with the newest syllabus?

i would say 02

there are some calculation questions in 01 syllabus thats dodgy
i.e. calculating the perfect angle or velocity or something of rentry given some values, (something along these lines).

Actually down to 2001 it will all contain now irrelevant sections. So if you can't do a bit check the syllabus afterwards there is no point learning something if it isn't in the syllabus.
