Economics: Labour Market Outcomes (1 Viewer)

I'm in urgent need of help with an Economics essay, with the question:

EXAMINE the factors which affect labour market outcomes in Australia

I must admit, I have no idea how to write social science essays. What I would like help with is an essay structure, how to answer the question (due to the examine verb), and what content I should be covering. There is so much information in the textbook I use (Riley, Prelim Eco, 2011 edition) and I cannot discern between the important points and the non-compulsory things.
