Hi all

Just thought I would tell you a few things that i used to have trouble with in geo (still do sometimes! I got 2o out of 2o for my ecosystems at risk essay on the Great barrier reef's (resilience, vulnerabiltity, management strategies etc. I could not believe it! to get high marks, I have been told to,
  • check grammar and word check
  • Have a flowing introduction that summarises your argument
  • Annotate all included diagrams, images etc.
  • Have statistics
  • Reference all information using right methods
  • Don't do it the night before, gradually build it
  • hand it in to the teacher or another geo teacher as a draft for them to tell you that you are on the right track or not.
  • synthesise and sustain your argument
  • if you do the hard work, you will achieve
  • use geo terminology and use advanced vocabulary
  • listen in class
  • read over your notes or textbook with info relating to the content of your assignment.
  • do your reseach (usefulness, reliability etc
  • you should reach the amount of words required and in most cases, teachers dont mind if you want to go over.
